When Calls the Heart tells the story of Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher from a big city, who decides to move across the country in order to make her dream of teaching come true. So, she moves to Coal Valley, which, in contrast to its name, is a hopeless place. But, life's what you make it, and the young woman is determined to succeed. Soon, Elizabeth gets used to this new place, makes good friendships and falls in love with a handsome Royal Canadian Mountie. And it seems that God has many more great plans for her!
