Tyler Doherty is an eight year old boy. He has cancer and fights a brave fight against the debilitating disease every day and fortunately he is surrounded by people who love him. Moreover, he finds extra courage in his rock-solid faith in God. Tyler sees God as his teacher. He formulates his prayers in letters. Every day he writes such a letter and posts it to God. Brady McDaniels, a postman who struggles with all kinds of problems, sees the letters and doesn't really know what to do with them. But as he gets to know Tyler and his mother, grandmother and brother better, Brady realizes what to do with the letters. He makes a decision that will also dramatically change his own life.
