Since 2013 Voorberg has led the so-called PopUp Church and regularly writes columns in nrc.next and the Nederlands Dagblad. He is regularly in the news with promotions that sometimes have a provocative edge.

As a volunteer, Rob takes care of the most vulnerable among the tens of thousands of refugees in Greek reception camps, but also on the Central Mediterranean where he as a skipper on a lifeboat protects children, women and men from cruel drowning. In this episode Tim van Wijngaarden takes Joke Buis into his old-timer. Joke is a singer and has released several CDs in recent years. From her great love for the old church song, Joke Buis brings the power of old hymns and songs into the limelight again. Through surprising new arrangements, re-translations and the enthusiasm with which Joke plays them, the music touches young and old in a new form. Joke tells Tim that she now has the idea that she really has something to add, but that she hasn't had that for a long time. God finally brought the insight that she could really add something and that she had to go for it. God helped her by literally saying, "Trust in Me!"
