The life of Geert Jongeneel and his family is turned upside down when he is diagnosed with ALS in 2018. A difficult time with many hard choices and uncertainties lies ahead of them. To document this period in their lives, the family from Nijkerk reaches out to documentary filmmaker Olaf Koelewijn. Since 2021, Koelewijn has been capturing beautiful, moving, and confronting moments within their family life in the documentary series 'When everything changes with ALS'.
