A Japanese family comes to live in the house next to Per. Per soon becomes friends with Shin, the only child of the Japanese family, who is as old as Per. If the boys do not go to school one day, the parents of Shin Per blame this, while this is not entirely justified. This shortfall creates a distance between the neighbors.
