The Barnett family lives in Kentucky and is gearing up for Christmas. But the father (George) and mother (Denise) are dealing with some issues in their community. George is concerned about his recently widowed friend Don, whose daughter Celia is an aspiring actress in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Since George's brother, Allen, lives in Los Angeles he puts together a plan to have Allen drive Celia back home for Christmas. Unfortunately, this initiative does not go well with Don. Meanwhile Denise, who is the Church choir director, is dealing with a dispute within the choir due to the disagreement between her husband and Don. To make matters more chaotic, Denise's parents come over unexpectedly. Will they ever have a moment to actually enjoy the upcoming holidays?!
