After two teenage girls cruelly impersonate her online in a “reverse cyber bullying” plot, Ashley’s reputation is ruined. She and her mother Julie (a high school teacher) are forced to move and go to a new high school. At her new school, Ashley tries to leave her past behind her and start anew. She even decides to help a big bully at school, Nick, to turn his life around and stop the bullying, especially when he sees something special in Ashley. But when two girls from her high school are standing in front of her at a party she attends with Nick, her life appears to return back to all the false accusations and sadness that Ashley and her mother tried to run away from.
