Lucy Shimmers is a very sweet and clever 5-year-old with an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Guided by the Lord and her late grandfather, who is an angel, she starts working on her book called 'Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of Peace'. Sadly, the little girl suddely falls seriously ill and is admitted to hospital. However, her situation does not deter her from spreading the love of Jesus Christ. She even embraces a strong-willed convict, named Edgar, who is suffering from a kidney disease. As Lucy and Edgar become friends, her unconditional love changes his life completely.
