John Hus - A Journey of No Return

Rating:
★★★★★

This beautifully made documentary tells the story of the Czech priest and teacher John Hus. He is seen as one of the first reformers. He was a precursor to Maarten Luther, who also partly took his ideas from him. John Hus, like Luther, came to a different interpretation of the Bible than the church. In addition, he found that there was far too much corruption in the church. John Hus's ideas were of course not accepted by the church and he was quickly prosecuted. In summary, an educational documentary about the beginning of the reformation.
