Firefighter Tom Hatcher has fought is share of fires. And his wife dies from cancer, they find out that his 6-year-old daughter Tiffany might suffer the same faith as her mother, and Tom's life seems to spiral out of control. He loses all hope in God and his life collapses. While listening to the pastor's sermon about how everybody has a time to be born and a time to die, Tom loses his patience and challenges the pastor. When the pastor calmly tries to tell Tom that God knows our pains, Tom loses it and knocks the pastor down. When Tom later returns to apolegize, the pastor tries anything to help Tom deal with everything. Then Tom meets nurse Melissa, a woman of which even his daughter Tiffany acknowledges that her mom wouldn't mind him marrying her. Can Melissa bring Tom back to his faith and better his life?
