After 10 years of writing articles in the big city, journalist Julia has lost her inspiration. Hoping to cheer her up and bring back that spark, her boss sends her back to her hometown to write an article about the charmes of a village life. Once she returns to her old home, she discovers that her old boyfriend Nate is building a giant snowmaze and she knows exactly what she wants to write the article about. While Julia is busy writing her article, Nate tries to show her what this little town actually means to her. It doesn't take long before Julia develops warm feelings towards both Nate and her old hometown. When the moment arrives that Julia wants to return back to Chicago, Nate does one last attempt to show Julia the way to true love.
