Tulsa is based on a true story about Tommy Colston, a marine veteran who struggles with his own battles with alcoholism and addiction to tabacco and prescribed pills, which looks like a losing battle. But then Tommy finds out that he has a 9-year-old daughter called Tulsa, who has been going from foster home to foster home after her biological mother passed away, he, reluctantly, takes her in. But Tulsa's strong faith in Christ seems to improve the lives of everyone she meets, and when the relationship between Tommy and Tulsa seems to improve, Tulsa shows him a more Christ centered lifestyle in which he can hopefully give up on his addictions. But when a tragedy turns their lives upside down, Tommy needs to learn how to fight with his addictions, conquer losses and turn even more to God, to become the father Tulsa always wanted to have.
