In this pilot film, Charles Ingalls builds a farm on the prairie and moves there with his family; his wife Caroline and daughters Laura, Mary, and Cassie. They will have to start their lives over. But with help from friends and strong family ties, they brave all difficulties. Especially Laura and Mary will have to adjust a lot to their new life.
