In this New Year's Eve conference about the year 2018 with the title 'Rikkert tears through the year', Rikkert Zuiderveld looks back on the year in the way that is characteristic of him. In this beautiful new solo program countless sonnets, beautiful thoughts, songs and jokes pass by. Rikkert is assisted in this by keyboardist Jan Borger and there is a guest role for his wife Elly. ** Success ** That there was a follow-up this year after his successful program 'Rikkert wring the year out', which was about 2017, was unquestionable. And again this year the reactions are positive! _Liesbeth: _ You can always sit in a relaxed way when listening to a performance by Rikkert. Sharp but not coarse. Very handsome. Also nice as Elly participated. And would be familiar: Jan as a keyboard player. Enjoyed again. _Bram: _ Rikkert is a true word artist who, with his often short texts, makes people think about (current) themes. _Cornélie: _ Like we are used to from Rikkert, he conjures with language and makes relevant, astute jokes about the current events of 2018. Sometimes a side road, after which he can continue his story in full glory. _Mirjam: _ If Rikkert starts singing, then something happens ... _René: _ A relief in "Christian" Netherlands, an enlightened philosopher and yet a warm person. ** Rikkert Zuiderveld ** Rikkert his father was a teacher. This naturally gave him the feeling, but also the love for music and language. As a high school student, he was also busy writing poems and songs. In 1968 he married Elly Nieman. With her he formed the duo Elly and Rikkert, which would become enormously known and popular among the Christians of the Netherlands. Together they are responsible for a considerable amount of the well-known Christian songs. Who doesn't know the classics like: Do you know that spring is coming, Keep it in your heart and We all have something? ** Registration ** The recordings of this performance were made by Christiaan Vink.
